Both companies can be contacted at info@esky.repair.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect your name, address, telephone number, email address, preferred contact method, repair or order reference, device type and model, fault description, damage history, photographs, quotation and invoice details, payment status, delivery information, and messages exchanged with us.

When reasonably necessary for an agreed repair, we may also handle device access information or encounter personal information stored on the device. Please back up your device and remove sensitive information where possible. Do not send passwords or unlock codes through the website enquiry form.

3. How we receive information

We receive information directly from you in person, by telephone, email, SMS, WhatsApp, social media, our website enquiry form, and during repair or sales activity. We may also receive delivery updates from Royal Mail, payment confirmation from banks or payment services, and repair information from a specialist technician involved in your job.

The website repair form does not save your submission. It prepares a message for you to review and send through WhatsApp. WhatsApp is a separate service with its own privacy terms.

4. How and why we use your information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, provide estimates, diagnose and repair devices, manage orders and payments, arrange collection or delivery, provide warranties and aftercare, keep accounting and business records, prevent misuse, resolve complaints, and establish or defend legal claims.

Our legal bases are normally taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing our contract with you, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the businesses and providing customer service. We will ask for consent where the law requires it. We do not use repair or sales enquiries for unrelated marketing without permission.

5. Who we may share information with

We share only what is reasonably necessary. Recipients may include trusted specialist technicians working on a repair, Royal Mail or another agreed delivery provider, banks and payment services, professional advisers, insurers, IT and communications providers, and public authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Where a repair is completed through our technician network, the device and necessary job information may be provided to the technician. Esky Repair remains your main point of contact.

6. How long we keep information

Routine enquiries that do not become a repair or sale are normally kept for up to 12 months after the last contact. Repair, sales, invoice, payment, and accounting records are normally kept for up to six years where needed for tax, accounting, warranty, dispute, or legal purposes.

Diagnostic photographs, temporary access information, and other material that is no longer needed are deleted sooner where reasonably possible. We may retain information for longer when a complaint, warranty matter, legal claim, or legal requirement is ongoing. We regularly consider whether information is still needed.

7. Security and international services

We take reasonable steps to limit access to customer information and protect it from loss, misuse, or unauthorised disclosure. No internet or messaging service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please send only information needed for your enquiry.

Some third-party services, including WhatsApp and social media platforms, may process information outside the United Kingdom under their own privacy arrangements. Please review the privacy information provided by the service you choose to use.

8. Website cookies and stock information

We do not currently use advertising or analytics tracking on the customer-facing website. Essential sign-in and session technology may be used to protect private management tools. The public stock catalogue contains product information and does not store customer enquiry details.

9. Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain uses, or receive information in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.

To exercise a right, email info@esky.repair. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our services or information-handling practices change. The latest version and update date will be shown on this page.
